Usage for windows

Greetings forum,

I am trying to make Cassandra work under Windows OS, but here are some issues with compatibility, cygwin and compilers, does someone has some experience with this? I am not so great Linux user, whdich makes it kinda difficult. I would be very grateful for any advice.
